  • Current treatment options in the management of spontaneous bleeding face significant failure rates (30 to 50%) and are often invasive.

    DIANOSIC developed an asymmetric balloon that acts by mechanical compression. Its unique design allows optimal conformation to the patient anatomy and his adequate for both anterior and posterior bleeding. The CAVI-T asymmetric balloon, thanks to its gentle and homogeneous compression force, would reduce pain and limit the risk of rebleeding (and therefore potential re-hospitalizations) upon removal. Those features make CAVI-T the treatment of choice for non complicated intranasal bleeding.

  • Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), rhinoplasty, septoplasty and skull base surgery may cause bleeding or damage intranasal anatomical structures. Therefore, there is a strong need for products to control bleeding or provide anatomical support (nasal packing). In those patients, the need to prevent infections or to promote healing of the mucosa may be pregnant.

    Dianosic develops an active asymmetric balloon coated with specific biologics or materials that will help avoid the formation of biofilm, kill specific bacteria or accelerate healing. This unique product builds on the features of the asymmetric balloon and makes it more sophisticated and tailor made to address the needs of a specific patient category.

    It will be the treatment of choice in patients at risk of infection and patients treated with anticoagulants.

  • Following spontaneous bleeding or ENT procedures, specific patient categories carry a higher risk of rebleeding, infection or any other adverse events. This is typically the case in elderly patients. Some patients may also be medically isolated.

    To address this challenge, Dianosic develops an asymmetric balloon equipped with sensors, which allows remote patient monitoring. Those sensors will allow monitoring of different types of parameters (pressure, temperature, posture sensors, rebleeding, etc) and send alerts to healthcare professionals. Flexible alert levels, ranked by emergency degree, will allow proper patient management (pharmacist or general practitioner visit, hospitalization).

    Thus, patients can be discharged earlier from the hospital and get back rapidly to everyday life activities. Remote monitoring also bring tremendous added value for those leaving in medical desert, far away from hospitals.

    This product will be the treatment of choice in isolated patients and/or patients requiring specific remote monitoring during treatment.
